View Finder Reel project - Trip to Disneyland

I am sooo very excited to share my project for The Cutting Cafe this week. I used the View Finder Reel and a Film Strip to make this using pictures of two of my beautiful nieces at Disneyland. This project was so much fun to make - takes a bit of time to assemble but so worth it.

Baby Shower Banner

TGIF!! This has been one long week but my work week ended with a bang yesterday..... Let me explain.

Last week we got a call asking if we could help make a banner for a Baby Shower based on a banner he (yes, I said he) saw on Etsy (you can see it "here"). I told him over the phone that I could.

After I saw the banner on Etsy I asked him if I could take some creative direction with his banner.  I knew it was for a baby shower and the theme was butterflies - elegant with a rose pink, sage green and cream. I asked his budget and we agreed on about $25 dollars (he provided the rose paper from another store).

BIGGEST compliment - He loved it so much that instead of paying the $25 he paid $30 - MADE my day!
PLUS, I had the banner on the craft table at the store and got TWO other customers hire me to do banners for them as well....

I love it when a customer puts their trust in me.... What's sad is these pictures do NOT show how elegant and beautiful this banner is in person.... (Yes, I am beep beeping own horn honk honk).

Banner was cut at 8", Letters cut at 6" and butterflies were 2" & 1", Flowers were cut at 2" and leaves at 3"

White on White

For my project I embossed two pieces of white paper. I fuzzy cut some of the embossed pieces and used pop dots to give it a POP. I placed is a very thin pink border (for my splash of color), added a white ribbon, a soft pink flower and a little bit of glitter on the candles.

It's About Time - Working Clock

 I am so super excited to share with you my video for TheCuttingCafe using a file called ITS ABOUT TIME.  I brought the file into Make the Cut and cut out all the pieces then added a clock kit I found at Michaels.

Wedding Card - Beautiful Rose by The Cutting Cafe

 Hi Everyone, Happy Tuesday to you - Can you believe April is almost over? The weather is getting warmer and flowers are in full bloom... Speaking of flowers - I totally fell in love with this week's file from The Cutting Cafe - Beautiful Rose. 

Even though this is a printable file you can still uese it in MTC by converting the PDF into a cut file.

I tried a new trick - I didn't want to have to pick up each petal and glue it on so I used transfer tape (the kind you use with vinyl). I laid a piece over the pieces on my mat, rubbed it well and picked it up as one piece.   I added my adhesive, then transferred it to my project. Super EASY.

One Tall Box from The Cutting Cafe

I am so in love with this box! It is super easy to put together with or without a cutting machine. It is the perfect size for a bottle of perfume, not saying that is what is in the box but just saying it is the perfect size.... Hopefully, the person getting this isn't reading this post. If she is - it isn't a bottle of perfume :)

Strawberry Teapot - SVGCuts File

I just noticed it has been awhile since I post any of my projects to my own blog. This is a teapot I made using Lunch with Mom svg files and modified it just a bit to hold a plant. I still plan on making the teacup card to go with it so I can give it to someone special on Mother's day.

SMILE - Camera Mini Album

Hi Everyone, This week at The Cutting Cafe we were asked to make a project using either POLAROID AND CAMERA FUN or the CAMERA PHOTO SHAPED HOLDER TEMPLATE....CUTTING FILE.

I choose to play with the Camera Photo Shaped Holder and made it into a mini album (insides to come soon). This is a work is progress!

Fun with Dress Forms - The Cutting Cafe

This week at The Cutting Cafe we got to play with Dress Forms and asked to do them in shades of green in honor of St. Patrick's Day.... I have had these papers for a very long time in my 'stash' and thought it would be perfect for this project....... I so love how it turned out!!!

This set comes with 2 Shaped Cards, 12 Sentiments and 28 assorted images all for $4.25.

Birdcage Card

Birdcage Card - Cricut French Manor

Hi Everyone!!! Today I want to share a new card I made using the Cricut Cartridge "French Manor"

I cut the bird cage out at 5.5 inches and put it on a 5.5x4.25 piece of folded cardstock to make a card. I wanted my bird cage to look rounded against the paper so I added one layer of popdots to the outer edges but two popdots stacked high in the middle. Hard to see in this picture but totally adorable in person..

I inked my pink with some soft pink chalk ink and then added star dust stickles then glossy accents on my bird.

LUCKY Banner

This week for The Cutting Cafe I made this LUCKY in Love with you banner for my project. I started by printing my own scrapbooking paper using the Lucky Background Printable Stamp and 4 Leaf Clover Colored Background Set. I then cut out the letters LUCKY out of the Lucky Word Shaped Card and printed the tag Lucky in Love with you.

I hung my banner on the door leading to my bedroom to make SURE my hubby saw it and knew it was for him.

Scrappy Frogs Challenge - Luck o' the Irish

This month over at the Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog the Design Team was challenged to do something green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. This is what I came up with but really did it to 'double dip'. I also used this card as one of my three entries to a new Design Team (which I will remain nameless until I hear if I made the team).

For this project I used a free SVG I found over at Scrappy Girl and the digital stamp is from The Cutting Cafe.

Easter Fun - The Cutting Cafe

 So, I decided to break open my Copic pens that I have had forever and never really used. I began by printing some amazing digital stamps from The Cutting Cafe called Easter Fun..... Then I created a shaped card out of it using MTC.... I realized after about an hour of playing that boy do I need more practice with my copic pens but I do like the end result.

Happy Birthday "Western" Banner

I had a customer who came into the store with a picture of a banner she saw somewhere online and wanted to see if we could make something similar. Here is the banner hanging at the customers home (I forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it to her).   I had a heck of a time finding red bandana patterned paper so I bought a fairly inexpensive digital paper pack online (etsy), loaded the jpg of the red bandana on my thumb drive and drove it to Staples to have it printed for $3.20 for 6 8x11 on cardstock. I only ended up sing 5 of the 6 sheets.

Cupcake Holder - Sweet Tooth Cricut Cartridge

Hi Everyone and Happy Monday - I needed to do a project for my LSS to each this Wednesday and decided to do this cute cupcake holder from the Sweet Tooth Cricut Catridge. I have seen so many of these on Pintrest and other websites and have been wanting to do one of my own.

I cut my box at 9" and added some ribbon around the rim. I then put the top in my bigshot with a cuttlebug embossing folder - added some flowers to the top cut from Flower Shoppe then finished it off with a tag from The Cutting Cafe cut with Mini Monogram. Wow, I used three cartridges on this project. I think that is a record for me.

Queen for the Day

Who doesn't want to be treated as a Queen for their birthday? I made this card to give to my BFF for her upcoming birthday using the Postage Stamp Shaped ($1.50) Card template and Assorted Crowns ($3.50) by The Cutting Cafe.

I really love how this turned out and how quick and easy it was to make using Regina's files.
